Thank you so much for playing at our wedding! The Sound Effect was amazing! We had 1 hour of jazz music and 2 hours of full band during the reception. The rendition of our first dance song (Lucky - Jason Mraz/Colbie Caillat) was beautiful! You guys were very accommodating (with the delay in our schedule), professional, talented, and definitely knew how to work the crowd. The dance floor was packed the whole night! Everyone had a wonderful time, and people kept raving about the band afterwards. We couldn't have asked for a better band! Scott was super easy to get in touch with before the wedding as well, always replying to my emails within a few hours.

The Sound Effect performed magnificently for our daughter's wedding at Asilomar on July 4th!!! All of our guests had a terrific time on the dance floor. Needless to say the song choices were right on target, the sound of the band was energizing, and the whole evening and event was memorable due in part to the music! The Sound Effect was great. The band was very professional and sounded great in the space provided. Our house wedding had 175 people, and every comment about the band was positive. I had several guests come up to me and tell me that it was such a refreshing change to have a band instead of a DJ, and it was fun to have them perform. We also had their jazz quartet perform after the ceremony which added so much to the ambiance of the evening. The members were friendly, outgoing, and willing to chat with guests and that put them over the top for me. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely wonderful. All comments positive, very accommodating. Very sensitive to needs and requests, very talented and accomplished musicians. Everyone loved the band, and I would hire you again in a flash.The difference between a group of professionals and a bunch of hacks is the ability to adapt to the circumstances, and you all did that without being asked. As we took everything down the next morning, all the helpers just raved about how much they enjoyed the music. We all agreed that the volume level was perfect, enough to enjoy and still be able to talk over.

The Sound Effect performed at my wedding and they were simply awesome! I had several guests (many of whom are music connoisseurs) comment on the high quality of the musicians and vocalists. In addition, the band leader Scott was extremely responsive to all my requests related to scheduling, special songs, etc. It was a pleasure to work with them! The Sound Effect played for my son's Bar Mitzvah.  My son spent three weeks looking and listening to at least 100 bands on the internet.  We picked The Sound Effect because they were better than all the other bands we listened to and fit within our budget.

Both the kids and the adults had an amazing night.  The Sound Effect and their music hit just the right tone for a magic evening with great dancing, fun and soul.  They were so professional and such nice people.  I have already heartily recommended them to several dear friends.  We will use them again ourselves as soon as we can.  They are great in every way.  Scott Switzer, the band leader arranged and rehearsed some special songs for us. He was super accommodating and totally responsible and professional.  Their two lead singers rock and so do their musicians.  This band has heart, soul and spirit.  I highly recommend The Sound Effect.

The Sound Effect trio played at our wedding, and proved to be an excellent choice. We met them during one of their rehearsals, and they all seemed very nice and professional. Throughout our communication with them, they were very responsive and very prompt.

On the wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly, and we had no need to worry about anything. We just loved their performance, and so did our guests. We got many comments on how nice they were, seems they were enjoying the wedding very much, and they played beautifully.

To be honest, I really wished that I recorded the whole thing so that I could listen to the whole performance over. I got so many great comments about you guys, that I wanted to slap myself for not getting someone to record the band.  Honestly, the only time I really got to listen you you was during the processional as I waited to walk down the aisle.  I was very happy with what I heard.  Even if I didn't get to hear everything, the comments that I heard from my husband and my family and friends were all wonderful comments.  My Maid of Honor actually told me she wanted the same type of music for her wedding.  So yes....I was very satisfied. Our event went off great and I received many compliments on the band. We were holding a fundraising auction for a public elementary school, which has been typically mundane and ending immediately following the auction. Having The Sound Effect for our event this year turned the whole thing around and people danced until it was time to turn on the lights. They did a fantastic job setting the mood with a great selection of music while people were perusing the auction items, eating, talking, etc. Following the auction, we dimmed the lights, the band started back up, and the crowd on the dance floor grew. At the end, everybody still wanted more, even though the babysitters were working overtime. Thanks guys,... and Melissa, our event was a huge success and we hit the number we needed to fund the new playground, with revenue exceeding any previous fundraising effort for the school. Josh

The wedding was so much more than I expected.  It was a beautiful day and everyone involved did such a great job to make it perfect and memorable.  The Sound Effect was an integral part of that, and I have to say your music and lively spirit created just the right mood throughout the reception.  All the guests gushed about your group - they really enjoyed the variety and tempo of the music, whether they were on the dance floor or watching the performance with a drink in hand!  The fact that you were enjoying the evening also showed on your smiling faces, and that multiplied the fun for the guests.

The music you arranged for our first dance was wonderful - the composition and performance of the song really felt like a personal gift from a friend.  We can't express how special it felt to dance to the song, and how that memory will remain with us for always. 

It was a real pleasure working with The Sound Effect, and especially with you Scott.  You were the easiest vendor to work with, as you were always so friendly, responsive and full of ideas.  Every communication and interaction with you was so smooth, and we didn't have to worry about a thing (which is a blessing when you're planning a wedding with so many vendors and moving parts).  We would hire you in a second again, and would certainly recommend you to all our friends and colleagues.
